December,
2005 (back to the top)
- jemo
played a show at The Bagel in Toronto on December 16, 2005.
- The December
16th show was Now
Magazine's Critic's Pick (December 15 - 21)
My
review of the show:
The show
rocked. It was hilarious and funny and my second time watching
jemo, but my first time really "experiencing" it.
I mentioned months ago that I was going to retire from doing
video recordings of stuff because I can't really enjoy stuff
since I'm thinking of lighting, camera angles, and if someone's
going to walk into my shot. Well I wish I had my video camera
that time, since it was a really great show where Jeff was
having loads of fun with it. That and it was f**king awsome
that he had to tune his guitar, and made his drummer start
playing jazz just to fill in the time. BTW, that drummer is
HOT.
So
I don't actually know any of the jemo songs, I recognize some
them, but actually knowing them like knowing titles, and words
and stuff are totally beyond me. So I can't help you out there.
I just know the drummer looked hot, the bassist was cute, and
Jeff was having a great freaking time jumping around on the
dance floor since there wasn't enough room for him on the stage.
Before last night I didn't think jemo songs was something you
could jump around to, but I've been pointed in the error of
my ways.

- jemo
played at the Nightmare Music Festival, at Trin/Port in Toronto on
October 27, 2005.
Brandon's
review of the show:
Fourth
(and probably the highlight of my night, for obvious reasons)
was jemo. This was my first time seeing him with his new live
band. Man, are they ever good! The songs really worked well with
the full band, as they do on the recordings... But totally awesome
performance. I'm very glad I have these guys on my label, that's
for damn sure! The live versions of some of my favourite songs
were changed in really interesting ways, and the stuff that wasn't
changed was spot on. Great set! |
